Stages of Filtration
Stage 1: Activated Alumina
This ceramic media was designed specifically to have a high affinity for fluoride and has been investigated as an adsorbent for defluoridation. It is found to have a good affinity for uptaking fluoride ions from water.
Stage 2: Garnet Mineral Stone
Water passes through a layer of natural minerals, removing suspended solids and sedimentation down to 10 microns. This allows for maximum water distribution and backwash efficiency.
Stage 3: Bone-Char Carbon
A highly adsorptive medium that can efficiently remove or reduce inorganic and organic contaminants, including heavy metals, radioactive particles, arsenic, THMs, and fluoride.
Stage 4: Quartz Mineral Stone
Water passes through a media bed of quartz mineral stone, removing suspended solids and sedimentation down to 20 microns.
