How does reverse osmosis work?

Does the Hydro-Pure Tankless RO waste water?
No. Traditional RO systems can waste several gallons of water for every gallon purified, but Freedom’s Hydro-Pure Tankless Reverse Osmosis System uses high-efficiency technology with a 2:1 purified-to-drain ratio to conserve water.
Do I need a separate faucet for the Hydro-Pure Tankless RO?
Yes. Each system includes a premium faucet in your choice of finish. You can also choose the "No Faucet (-$15)" option if you plan to use your own.
What maintenance does the system require?
Very little. The Hydro-Pure Tankless RO uses quick-change filter cartridges that last 6–12 months depending on your water quality. Built-in filter life indicators remind you when it’s time for replacement.
Is reverse osmosis better than a whole-home filtration system?
They serve different purposes. Reverse osmosis is ideal for drinking and cooking water, while a whole-home filtration system treats all water entering your house. Many homeowners use both for complete protection and great-tasting water at every tap.
