Vortech™ Technology
Stages of Filtration
Stage 1: Activated Alumina
In the first stage of the filter, water travels through our pre-treated media to lower the internal pH, maximizing the adsorbance of fluoride and arsenic.
Stage 2: Garnet Mineral Stone
Water passes through a layer of natural minerals, removing suspended solids and sedimentation down to 10 microns. This allows for maximum water distribution and backwash efficiency.
Stage 3: Titanium Oxide
The third stage of filtration effectively removes arsenic III & V and a wide variety of heavy metals, including lead, cadmium, copper, chromium+6, selenium, and zinc from your drinking water.
Stage 4: Quartz Mineral Stone
Water passes through a media bed of quartz mineral stone, removing suspended solids and sedimentation down to 20 microns.
Arsenic Series Whole Home Filtration FAQs
Who is the Arsenic Series best suited for?
The Arsenic Series is designed for homeowners who have confirmed arsenic or certain heavy metals in their water and want a whole-home filtration option with low-maintenance operation. Water testing is recommended first so the system can be properly matched to the home’s water conditions.
Will the Arsenic Series affect water pressure?
When properly sized and installed, the Arsenic Series is designed to support normal household water pressure while filtering water throughout the home.
How does the automatic backwash work?
The system uses a digital control valve to periodically backwash the filtration media. This self-cleaning cycle helps support performance, preserve media life, and reduce buildup inside the system.
Does the Arsenic Series require salt, chemicals, or frequent filter replacements?
The Arsenic Series is a salt-free system that does not require chemical regeneration. Its automatic backwash design helps reduce the need for frequent cartridge-style filter changes under normal operation.
Does the Arsenic Series reduce other heavy metals?
Yes. In addition to arsenic, the system is designed to help reduce certain heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, copper, chromium +6, selenium, mercury, zinc, uranium, and more. Actual performance depends on water conditions, proper sizing, and system setup.
Is the Arsenic Series suitable for well water?
Yes. The Arsenic Series is commonly used for private well water and may also be suitable for some municipal water supplies. A water test is recommended to confirm arsenic levels, other contaminants, and proper system sizing.
What types of arsenic does the system reduce?
The Arsenic Series is engineered to help reduce arsenic III and arsenic V, which are two common forms of arsenic found in residential water supplies.
Does the Arsenic Series filter water throughout the whole home?
Yes. The Arsenic Series is a whole-home filtration system designed to treat water before it reaches faucets, showers, laundry, appliances, and other points of use throughout the home.
